This past Sunday Chico kitefliers enjoyed a perfect kite day: clear skies, 80 degree temperatures and a NNW wind averaging 12-15 mph with gusts to 22 mph. Besides myself, Mike Hagen, Rhonda Davidson and Jim Stainback were in attendance. We had kite arches and beach balls for a ground display, and we all had more than one kite in the air. Add the many families that joined us to fly kites, and Wildwood Park once again looked like a 'mini-festival.' See for yourself...
Big Boy went up with 'everything-but-the-kitchen-sink' on it
150 feet of windsock!
Kids were allowed to chase the tail (but no holding on)
Rhonda's frog kept getting hung up on it's 'pilot line'
All in all, it was a great day to be a kiteflier!
