1st Chico Kitefly of 2014

While the rest of the country was snowed in, California has been experiencing mild, almost balmy weather. So, our 1st-Sunday-of-the-Month-Kitefly for January was a most pleasant day: blue skies, temperatures in the upper 60s and a northwest wind averaging 8-10 mph with gusts to as much as 15 mph. Chico Kitefliers Rhonda Davidson, Mike Hagen, Jim Stainback and myself were present; we had eight kites in the air. No doubt about it... it was a kiteflier's delight.
